Jung Kyung Yoon recently sat down for an interview with news outlet EDaily and talked about the popular drama adaptation of her web novel “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.”
She first expressed her affection for the drama as well as for Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young by saying, “When I first heard who was cast, I had high expectations. But they were able to clearly define their roles, better than the vague images of the characters I had in my mind. Even now, I’m giving them a standing ovation at every moment.”
The writer also talked about how her family reacted to the drama. She shared, “My husband couldn’t sleep the night of the first broadcast. But since then, he’s the first one to turn on the television and eagerly watch on the days the episodes are airing.”
Jung Kyung Yoon continued, “My eldest daughter finds it awkward as her friends crowd around her at school. My younger daughter told me her dream is to marry ‘Mr. Park Seo Joon’ when she grows up. I told her, ‘Sorry, but that’s definitely not possible.’ I don’t think she completely understands yet, but she hopefully will in the future.”
“What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” is about prickly vice-president Lee Young Joon (played by Park Seo Joon) and his faithful, efficient secretary Kim Mi So (played by Park Min Young), and the romance that ensues when she tries to quit her job to find love.
